well…i do empty my plates obviously but a bit of liquid which can be washed away shouldnt affect the colour of the dishwasher and this is what im trying to point out…
I had no discolouration with my old Hotpoint WHATEVER i put in there…
Still after all this time the indesit is still discoloured and it doesnt wash as well…

the staining couldnt get any worse, its at its unltimate now lol
its the same colour as it was when it was first done. I dont put plastic stuff in my washer only cutlery and crockery and dishwasher proof saucepans..thats it.

Hi Alex
On the 15th December it will be only a month old but the discolouration happened at least a week or so after i got it, maybe even before and i dont put earthenware in it either

no it wasnt lashings of tomato sauce and i dont really know what caused it but in my 13 years of using a dishwasher i have never rinsed a plate…whats the point? you might as well wash up if youre gonna rinse them lol

Hi again
I got an email back from indesit (6 days later) and they have basically saidDiscolouration of internal parts of the Dishwasher – Discoloured Baskets / Dispenser Flaps etc.
and INTERNAL WHITE PLASTIC PARTS of the MACHINE TURNING ORANGE or PINK.Dark red coloured earthenware can sometimes produce this effect by migration of the colouring.
More common, is dishware being loaded with large amounts of tomato ketchup / or fruit juices present or the precipitation of the iron content in the water causing staining because of insufficient detergent and/or rinse aid dosage.
The staining is not harmful but cannot be removed.
Did i not know this originally????

Thanks for all the tips guys
I didnt realise how much this would go on for lol
@ Kwatt I used finish. Finish powder, rinse aid and salt, as recommended by indesit
As ive said numerous times, they should put a warning in their handbook or description that their plastic may turn pink
thats all really
I will have a nose at those sites thanks Dave
Once again thanks for all the feedback 😉

Hello again
I got in touch with trading standards and they say that i am within my rights to do something.
http://www.dti.gov.uk/ccp/topics1/facts … odsact.htm
They advised me to write a letter (recorded del) stating that i am entitled to something (in my case part refund hopefully)
so i will let you know the income
🙂
