Thanks gandh1. The door edging on the decor panel of the freezer had come adrift so that could may be the reason for the problem or at least one of them. Fingers crossed. Thank you all so much for your help.

Cheers and thanks to both of you I will try a defrost. We haven’t got much food stored in it as we lost it all when the alarm problem happened whilst on holiday and am reluctant to replace until the problem is resolved!!!
I contacted Bosch and they only suggested an engineer visit so well worth trying this first. Thanks once again.
