We have a DE73 that we’ve owned for 3 -4 years and like the one described above, have had numerous problems and errors over the years; which I have resolved since the warrantee expiry. Like the one above, it now responds to nothing, but displays time and a flashing drying sign.

I have had no indications of an A03 error – can you tell me if replacing the thermistor was successful in getting the machine back in operation?

I am also a little puzzled by the comment about realistic budget. When we brought it, it was the second most expensive model in Comet, and Indesit as a brand were rated at the time as second only to Bosch for reliability and quality of engineering by a well known consumer advice magazine. Admittedly we’d always used Bosch before, but after a bad experience with a Bosch washing machine decided to try another brand. Obviously now I wish we hadn’t, but I do think that the inference that the purchasers of the DE73 only have themselves to blame for the machines unreliability because they should have brought something more expensive is a little unfair, and as far as I can tell, unfounded.

I have exactly the same symptoms on my indesit DE73.

Did anyone manage to resolve the problem?
