Hello,Mr penguin 45 Sir, and all who read,
I have today replaced the broken part , as above, and am happy to say i have a perfectly good dishwasher once again.
Thanks to the forum and a big fish to mr Penguin 45.
For information purposes i pulled the offending pump appart, it was as stated ” the impellor has fallen off the end.”

Thanks for that penguin, next question is would it be a straightforward job to replace the part for someone of limited mechanical ability… ie: me
or would it be safer to get a ” propper” bloke on the job.
And if possible would anyone have any advice on the simplest method of replacement, i am guessing dishwasher on its side remove bottom front, then baseplate, to expose the culprit then unclip the hoses somehow, and replace…. sounds easy enough … did i make it too easy??
