Hi David75.
I have exactly the same problem. It first occurred in the middle of the night, with the washing machine turned off, but the door left open. Finding this thread, I was convinced enough this matched your situation, so I checked the control board and found a small resistor blown (labelled as R844 on the circ. bd).

As it was blown, it was a little hard to read, but I thought it was brown, black, brown (100ohms I think). I have replaced it with a new 100ohms and following reassembly, plugging in and turning on, the resistor really blew this time.

Have you had any further issues and if not, can you recall the resistor value. Any other suggestions welcome.
