    The wire from the pump is all ok no rubbing or breaks and it has continuity from end to end with no sign of a break and the triac does feed the pump.

    I can feel the seal seems slightly damp to the touch (its not soaked and cant see any obviuos water marks but its not dry) where It connects to the drum so definatly will need resealing.

    I think that could be the problem then small bit of water is shorting the pump. Will get some spades heatshrink and some adhesive to reseal the inlet.

    Hi both,

    Firstly thanks for very fast replies!

    I am pretty certain it is the pump I did follow the wires back but didn’t take the loom out to fully check. So I am doing that now. I will inspect the wires for breaks or signs of rubbing.

    I will also take the door seal off and check for any sign of leaks ( I guess a fix for this would be to cover the contacts on the pump to prevent any water ingress?)
