That’s a fair point about checking that the socket actually still has power – I can’t think why it wouldn’t, but I’ll have a look.
As far as “chasing down the circuitry”, which plug are you talking about ? If you mean the 13-amp mains plug, that won’t be easy to trace since the dishwasher is a built-in machine. It looks like I might have to pull the whole thing out and up-end it, which I was hoping to avoid. (If you’re talking about a different plug, please explain).
Where will I find the soap dispenser solenoid ? I’ve had a quick look at the PCB and there’s no visible sign of damage, although I accept that doesn’t necessarily mean much.
I’ll check the supressor as well, which I think I saw dangling in-line on the main wiring loom under the machine.
Thanks for the help, but I think I might be back for some more pointers once I’ve completed the above.
