ParticipantRe: Ariston Margherita 2000 – I also have a problem!
Hi to the experts,
I have a Margherita 2000 AL128D and it had a problem around 6 months ago. The quoted repair was around $700 (Australian) and so in disgust SWMBO ordered a Miele.
At the same time, I had progressed arguing with the local retailer and repair agent, with the result that the repair suddenly became $130 + labour. The $130 was for a new main board – eprom flashed for my serial number machine, plus a pressure switch.
I got the impression that the new board was for “just in case” and the pressure switch was the diagnosed fault. I replaced the pressure switch and tested the machine in my garage with the drain going into a bucket. All well, no error codes. Machine went into storage as the Miele arrived.
Now I want to give the Ariston to my son, and have just installed it, and the fault “dial clicking around” occurs whenever we get to a part of the cycle when the drain pump comes into service. I have taken the waste out of the service drain and put it back into the bucket, and all is well again.I now assume that the pressure switch sent to me is not adjusted correctly and thinks there is a blockage when there is just normal backpressure.
Can anyone advise me wiich of the multiple screws on the pressure switch to adjust (and in which direction) so the machine doesn’t think there is a blockage with “normal” backpressure?
Thanks in advance…PS the main board they sent me was in fact completely wrong for the machine, the edge-connectors didn’t fit; so I hope that is not the real problem…
PPS the LED flashing is “15 flashes” when it occurs which I read elsewhere on this forum is a drier problem. We have no interest in the drier feature, and the dry cycle is permanently turned OFF. -
