    hiya,

    the impellor is definitely working.

tried setting it on spin cycle and no drum movement but the clock counted down on the cycle.

tried setting it on a quick wash and again can hear the pump working but no drum movement and no water fill I dont think..

    cheers

Re: John Lewis JLWM1203 drain pump error

    morning,

just put the new pump in..

tried running a cycle on the machine and its just making a buzzing noise???

    any ideas??

got down to floor level and it sounds like the pump is trying to turn over (or is turning over..)

    🙁

    thanks

    hi martin,

with 3 small children its becoming a feature.. 🙂

im being slow when you mean lateral movement do you mean side to side as you look head on the impellor or do you mean will it pull out of the housing?

    cheers

Re: John Lewis JLWM1203 drain pump error

looking at the pump now I can pull the impellor head out from the housing by about 3 or 4 mm..

would you go ahead and change it do you think thats the best option?

    thanks for your help

possibly not 🙂 im on a steep learning curve

i took it apart again and have checked the drain hose for blockages and its definitely not blocked..

I got the following information off 2 stickers:

this one was on the top of the control panel:

    AKO 722082-03
    ELUX 132430402
    080402 15 100 67
    pnc 914522514(00)
    MCF 132418411 – 001
    ccf 1325352840 013
    firmware WBE20306

and on the back of the circuit board inside was a sticker with this this:

    AKO 719102-03
    ELUX X32424323
    Boot ver B042008_B
    080317

    20 576 43

I can get the pump tested by an electrician at work tomorrow would that be worth doing?

any other suggestions for what it could be??

    thanks a lot

Re: John Lewis JLWM1203 drain pump error

    thanks for responding

had another fiddle with it, set it to drain cycle and opened the tube to unblock the impellor and the impellor is clearly rotating…

wasnt getting any error codes though.. so is it probably likely theres a blockage in the drain pipe? i fed water back through it and it seemed to flow ok.

    thanks for your help

Re: John Lewis JLWM1203 drain pump error

    hi martin,

it was pretty solid in the housing, I certainly couldnt get it out but then didnt pull so hard as I presumed its set into the housing..

the machine is around 5 years old is it likely to have damaged the master board or anything else ??
