Participantthanks for all the help. Its now working fine. It took an age (about 3 hours) after defrosting the freezer matrix for the fridge to start to cool but now it has and appears to be working fine.
I wonder if the reason it took so long to cool is due to a partial blockage in the air duct you mentioned farmboy. If I get any more problems I’ll do a thorough defrost before trying anything.
Thanks again.

ParticipantRelaced thermostat. Went in a treat. Not fixed the problem though.
I’ve done some more investigating. There appears to be no air flow coming the the inlet in the fridge . I removed the inside cover from the freezer section and checked the fan is working fine. Which it is.
The freezer matrix was quite badly frosted-up to I defrosted it in the hope that this was in some way affecting the airflow from the freezer to the fridge. That has’not made a difference either.
Any more help greatly appreciated.

ParticipantChecked inside the fridge and the only thing in the compartment on the right hand side is the light. The adjustment for the thermostat is above the door in the centre. Looking at the size of the universal replacement I’m not sure it will fit. Do you think I need the Electrolux/Zanussi thermostat?
