Thanks! Well fitting on the snug little round clip thingy, getting technical here..was not easy! Took me a few @+*sakes and at least a good hour.

So that filter would that be the cause of it cutting out of spinning, or is this a side issue. If it’s a side issue I will be a new machine..

So it’s not the sump, I was able to take it out but found part of this metallic mesh.! Any thoughts on the Mesh, what is it, I’m guessing it’s part of the machine, could it be part of the problem?! And FYI no limescale in sight.. must have been the white vineagar :rolls:

Or if you guy’s have any other useful tips on what this is …

    Thanks,

    Mrs T

Well, it seems to be the hot tip on all the female sites on how to deal with washing machine limescale. I’m sure it will not fix anything but it’s not costly so I just did it. I’m guessing I will have to clear the Machine Sump, but I’ll have to wait for the muscle to get back to London for that…the machine is quite heavy!

I had to check again the ones flashing is the super wash and the 1200/600 ..

I’ll have to look and see if they move. Thinking it was a limescale issue I just put it on a 95C cycle with a bottle of full bottle of vineagar in the the washing tray to see if anything else happens!
    Oh, the learning curve..

It seems nothing wrong with the drain pipe, I mean the end of it is stuck inside the washing machine and I can’t check it from that side. And yes it still flashes on the super wash and 1200/600.

I did take out the drain though and let the water poor from the zink to see if any bits came out. Besides from the lime scale bits the water was cold on a 95C cycle, would that indicate a “heating” issue??

I found this, thinking should I be brave enought to do this or is it wasting my time? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHdseEBvdgo

    Hi Tash,

Sadly it’s the first thing I checked. I even opened up the washing machine in the back and top to check for visible faults… and no nothing looks faulty. But the drain pipe.. will have to check that now however when I put it on the drain water cycle it does that without a problem!

Oh the agg, never Hotpoint again.
