bryan a word of warning

my element has been replaced about 8-10 times (some under warranty) and it is also a “cookers” appliance
it is possible it is the fan motor that is causing the problem. mine was overheating and stalling causing the elements to continually go
if it keeps happening you may want to consider replacing the fan motor (although good luck if you do, im having difficulty finding the correct size replacement one to fit through the back of the cooker)

i managed to locate a local supplier who was able to beat your price (sorry ;)) however from the model numer you listed the item is about 1.4cm short on the spindle to reach through from the back to fit the fan onto it

he stated that they changed the design and phoned around and there were no alternatives

while it is possible he is wrong, is there any way of checking the item you can get is the correct length spindle to avoid ordering the wrong one again ??

looks like it is the fan motor as completely givenup again and with his hands of wisdom my dad has managed to snap the spade plugs off the end while looking it at
do you know which one is right for this
ive looked at the ones in the shop and cant see an exact match but the brandt does look similar

help appreciated asap but i may also consider a new cooker to be honest after all this lol

ill see if i can dig out the old photos tomorrow

i think there is an inherent fault with the fan motor that may cause the elements to burn out this quickly

but replacing the element seems to resolve the issue ???

as im not an expert i cant diagnose the exact problem ubt this resolution seems to resolve it ❓

theres an electrician coming to do some lighting installs in a few months so im also going to get him to check out the wiring to the cooker from the mains and making sure thats sound as well

the fan is making a wiiirring noise and taking a while to start up

this is usually a sign the element is going ( as in previous occasions)

can i order another one from you please

not sure which one is correct because of the probs last time but if you add it to the store ill get it from there or can contact you direct if you prefer.

going to replace the whole thing in the new year i think with a “decent” one 8)
