    Hi Dave,
I can’t thank you enough, I now have a working fridge freezer! Your advice to defrost it over a few days worked and fingers crossed it’s up and running again. I am so relieved and very grateful for your help. Would you happen to know the most reliable brands of large appliances as this will now be a major consideration in any future purchases. Many thanks.

    Thanks Dave,
I will check the door seal more thoroughly (with a piece of paper) and if the ducts are blocked with ice I am hoping that your advice to defrost it over 2 days will unblock them.
I really appreciate your time and good advice.

    Hi Dave,
thank you so much for replying to my post and so quickly.
It is a Bush frost free (self defrosting) fridge freezer which is less than 5 years old. Recently the freezer part of it has been icing up the fronts of the drawers and even after defrosting the drawers and replacing them the ice appears on the front of them very quickly, within the hour. Last week I removed the drawers again and there was a sheet of ice on the bottom of the freezer.
Along with this the fridge part does not get lower than 15 degrees, despite turning the thermostat to the coldest setting and I have had to bin all the food.
I will try your idea of a complete defrost for 2 days as it is a very sensible place to start which I hadn’t thought of.
    Many thanks.
