Just an update. Changed the lock, the brushes and checked the pump. Have looked atvthe pcb and there is a chip with a hole in it……connected to the door lock pin…..may well be the cause lol

Thanks Dave. Have taken pump apart and it is clear and seems to turn ok. Might have to get a pro in as I am fed up of throwing money at it. I assume holding start and turning the dial to cotton puts this into a diagnostic? I can’t seem to get it to do anything else once I have done this (no drum tests etc). The other strange thing is that the water inlet hose seems to hiss with air when I disconnect. I have tested the pipe and water is certainly flowing through the pipe

Thanks for the suggestion but no luck sadly. I did take a video of the problem if that helps anyone. I think even if i could figure out how to put the thing into diagnostic mode at least I could eliminate some possibilities. The filter was full but cleared that, unless it has made the pump faulty.
