Thanks to a tipoff from Ozzy1 I found this forum. I’d been posting elsewhere in vain. Thanks mate! if here in Oz too, and my S26 had the madly chattering relays and flickering lights, and was slowly getting worse. The ice and water dispensers had recently stopped working too. Read through the whole sorry saga, bought the capacitors opened it up and fixed it. In my case it was the caps on the front board that made the difference. Of course, I’d started with the back board first. An extra 30 minutes, but probably not wasted time.

One question. Can anyone tell me why the temperature display only shows the temp you’ve set the fridge and freezer to be, rather than the temp they actually are? Unless the freezer’s been off a while and the temps risen to -6, I think. Not very useful!
