ParticipantRe: BEKO DW600 doesn’t use salt?
Had a similar problem with my BEKO DW600. The problem was that the clear pipe which runs from the salt/resin tanks to the base of the machine was completely blocked with limescale or grease or something.
Symptoms for me were poor rinsing, film of grease on plastics and a bad smell – cleaned absolutely everything else (there was grease collected under the interior plastic pipe which carries water to the upper spray arm – removing this requires undoing 3 screws down by the drain then tilting/pushing up on the pipe)
Fixing the blocked pipe required pulling the dishwasher out (turn off water and electricity), removing the front inspection panel (mine had torx screws for some reason), the white left side panel and undoing the rear lower panel so it could tilt down and give access.
Then you need to use some hose clip pliers or circlip pliers or similar to remove the clips from both ends of the see-through plastic pipe – it’s a bit cramped but is possible to push the clips off while using the pliers. Get some kitchen paper or rags to catch the water which comes out when you pop the pipe off. Now poke something through the pipe to push all the gunk out, and also out of the little hole into the bottom of the machine where the lower end of the pipe plugs in. Then put everything back together (a bit of a pain), push the machine back in and turn electricity/water back on and check it works (good time to run some cleaner through it, the Finish oblong tank thing is by far the best one I’ve tried).
Hope that helps someone.
