Thanks for the reply, I’ve had this machine around 2½ years and haven’t known it to do this.

But running the machine with the top cover of I can see the noise I believed to be the tap/solenoid letting the water in. Is actually what looks like a diverter gate at the rear of the soap tray moving slightly when the tap/solenoid lets water in?

Could it just be that the diverter gate has come loose so it’s making a noise now, whereas before it made no noise so I was unaware of it?

I’ll try running it empty
