No, I don’t think so. There’s no sign of any separate thermostat underneath with the heater (it’s the in line type).
The temp sensor I was referring to is in the door panel and pressed against the metal surface.
Just a thought, but if it were faulty, would it be possible to ‘trick’ it into allowing the heater to come on more by, say, sticking some insulating tape between it and the metal surface? just a one-off test I mean.
