Update on this one – Nearly 3 months later and its started working! I can only assume it was maybe a stiff hinge or something on the bottom of the door following install and several months of opening and closing the door has loosened it enough for the mechanism at the top to be strong enough to pop the door open. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

thought it may have been you were in europe somewhere ( as you posted in a european forum) and uk models were different but your ip comes up as Manchester

I know its bonkers – its one user manual for 4 different models of dishwasher and that option in the menu isn’t there on ours so you never actually see this bit with the “o:” in the menu:

“Press P / P+ key, and move to the o: position on the screen. “o: 0” position indicates that the SelfDry feature is off “o: 1” position indicates that it is on. Select the desired position with the delay key”

Can’t attach pics as they are too big but shows our buttons (different to the user guide for the model) and with F3 selected for SelfDry and with the lit up icon for the door opening feature. At a loss now as whole new unit is more cost to fit/replace but I can just see the same issue being there with the replacement if its the same model. :0(

Yes I’m in the UK – Actually North East/Teesside – Corporate proxy I think puts me in Manchester. :0)

    Thanks Dave,

Yeah – Ours is a totally different control panel to that. It seems ours is the odd one out model wise and going into the settings menu doesn’t give an option for the door opening element. Even the engineer commented on it and that’s why they changed the circuit boards and everything in case it was a software/firmware issue. However the new one is exactly the same and on our model you can simply enable/disable the auto door opening with one of the function buttons straight from the front of the unit. It is enabled as the open icon is lit up on the screen but to no avail. :0(
