Already checked continuity between the pcb and door… all ok, in both opened / closed positions.
Decided I’m just gonna bin it. No point in throwing good money after bad. And anyway, fed up that I’ve just wasted a good 3 hours of my day off, and all the time I’ve spent before that… don’t want to waste any more time on it. And now my feet are wet ๐
Got any recommendations for good reliable dishwashers? (apart from Hotpoint that is).
I’d like to get a direct replacement as far as taking my door off / fitting it to the replacement. Do all integrated dishwashers have the same fixing points as far as fitting the door goes?
Thanks for the help.

Very much appreciate the reply.
Yes, it is the 4th (eco) light that is flashing. I’ve tested the heater resistance and that checks out ok, it’s 32.4? not 29.20? but that just may be my meter is out of calibration. But I’m guessing this is close enough and proves it’s not open circuit.
The NPT was firmly in its housing and not come adrift. I’ve tested the resistance at room temperature (15ยบ, my kitchen is cool atm) and the resistance is 18.68k? (again, my meter may not be deadly accurate. And when I hold the probe in my fingers to warm it up it does reduce the resistance steadily… I’ve uploaded a video clip to YT to show:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sA6ltFXxsxI
So I’m guessing the probe is actually working? Is that in right ball park as far as resistance goes? I’ve checked the pcb and see nothing that worries me… no burnt components, no burnt out tracks. I do not have the knowledge to be able to test components individually though.
I suspect my next step is to check the door panel controls / connections? But does the NPT actually send a signal to the door control or is it all done on the pcb at the bottom?
I could really do with a wiring diagram.
Really appreciate the reply, thanks.
