This is little tiny clicks and the temps flashing non-stop (no beeping or relay clicking though) so I am thinking it is the front board – is this correct?

Have read through this massive thread, but am still unsure what is wrong with my Whirlpool fridge freezer – can you help me please? I cannot use a soldering iron – but I am a mum with two young babies and I need my fridge to work!!

Last summer after advice on this thread, I replaced the rear circuit board which solved all the loud clicking and relay issues instantly.

Then today out of the blue, the front panel temperatures are flashing rapidly. The fridge and freezer are keeping their correct temperatures but the display is flashing non stop and there is a quiet rapid clicking noise from the front diaply panel.

I have changed water filter, and have pressed reset button. Have turned fridge off at mains and back on. Still same issue.

Can anyone advise me please? Is it the front board and can anyone help me to replace any capacitors as I haven’t got a clue.

Hi, I would just like to say a BIG THANK YOU to all of those who have posted solutions on this thread. My whirlpool had several problems (clicking, water spluttering out, CF flashing and beeping every hour) and I have now replaced the Rear Control Board. I bought it from the company who run this forum, it was the cheapest price I found by £10, and it arrived the next working day. It took my friend 5 minutes to change the board for me, which resolved all the problems instantly, and a week later, still no problems.

I have a Whirlpool American style fridge freezer, model # S20B RSS31 A/G. other numbers are 8586151 15010 and 110328 039407.

I have read through this entire thread but am not sure whether to change the capacitors or to change one or both boards to solve my problems – please can someone advise me as to what to do?

1. Beeps every few minutes (like the door is open but it’s not) and the display flashes CF. The water filter has been changed and is green, but this problem continues.
2. Lots of clicking noises all the time
3. Ice maker not working properly
4. Water dispenser only flows properly if you open the fridge door while you do it.
