Re: Smart Drive 708 – won’t power on

Sorry – the issue is that it won’t power on. I think it died in the middle of another wash my wife started earlier on.
    cheers

Penguin45, got it – the pump was at 33ohms, but when reassembling the first time I’d not reconnected the wires at the back properly – frustrating but rewarding now its all going again… I probably qualify for boof-head of the week….

Thanks again (in the past I’ve fixed the lid switch based on responses to other peoples’ emails).

    Penguin,

Thanks for the guidance. I pulled off the pump – there was some plastic in there, so cleared it out – but the machine is still failing at the same point – the start of the rinse cycle, with a full load of water.

You mention the water level switch or hose – what’s the
    — Best way of accessing them – is all the same part running from the base of the bowl into the control panel?

    — Way of determining if it’s the switch or the hose?

    — Part numbers to replace them?

    Thanks

Hi, thanks for the quick response.

The 3 left most digits were probably wrong – they’re under the Delay section…. So as I read the code, its 00100101.
From this, the long Wash LED and the LED to its right are unlit, the next LED is lit, the next two are unlit, the Rinse LED is lit, the next is not, and the Spin LED is lit.

I’ve spun the fan thingy accessible in the bottom right access hole in the front panel. I’ve pulled the bowl out and spun the water extraction fan/vanes/impellor under the cover. The Washer then went through the Short Cycle once, then hasn’t since. Should I just pull the bowl out again and free the impellor again?

Re: Fisher & Paykel Smart Drive 708-00000100101-or 00100

To clarify – ignoring the 3 delay LEDs on the left, the error code under the wash progress is 00100101. thanks
