I have a friend with the exact same problem, I took the metal cover off the back which revealed the tray and black tubing. The tray was completely dry. There was no rubber tubing covering the black plastic tube. Would this be because Samsung shipped with rubber tube or maybe someone has already removed rubber tube?

When she first got the problem she defrosted the FF for 24 hours, she did say there was a big build up of ice in the freezer. Ive asked her to turn off for 36 hours as instructed in the post.

Do you think turning the FF off for 36 hours will reset everything and problem will be solved ?

If this does not work is there anything else that can be done before getting an engineer out?

    Thanks

FYI turning the Fridge Freezer off has resolved problem with Fridge not functioning. I can only think some of the pipes were frozen solid which was stopping the fridge from working so I presume turning off for an extended period (36 hours) did the job.
