Re: Hotpoint DC27 Pre-Wash light flashes

I have now got the float switch working – i must have connected the wrong 2 pins when I checked it.

    Symptoms now are….
On switching dishwasher on – wash light (2nd from left) is illuminated – Dw drains then fills with water – then wash light flashes and DW drains again and stops.

I believe the circulating pump could be stuck and it has been suggested to give the back of the impellor a little flick with a screwdriver (with elec off of course) to see if it turns.

I have tested the pressure switch by blowing into it – so that is eliminated.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks Guys – much appreciated.
I will try out these two.
Another suggestion was to disconnect the float switch (suggestion from a Hotpoint engineer)

Also check the pressure switch by disconnecting it and blowing down it to check that it clicks and the connections on the terminals change.

I will let you know how I get on.

PS Am a qualified spark – so Mantra is…
Electricity bites!!!! – If you have your fingers in there – Turn it off
