Re: No Hot Water – Bosch SGS5342GB/17 HYDRO SENSOR

There is no luck Martin (when it comes to this), just systematic problem solving / process of elimination.

Thanks clicon357, I got that far and now I’ve gone one step further.

OK, I’ve removed the base from the tub and have access to the element.

Having removed the unit and tested it visually, mechanically and electrically it appears OK.

There is no damage (see pic).

I get about 24ohms resistance and continuity checks out OK. I could wire it up but I don’t think its necessary.

Will check the pressure sensor to make sure that its working also.

I’m pretty sure that we have good water pressure as the unit completes the cycles with cold water and there are no blockages or changes to the water system, so the element pressure switch should be triggering – although I’ve not actually checked this yet.

What else could I do to test the water pressure in the chamber for the micro switch ? Just power it up and measure if the switch is triggering ?

However, I am unable to test the heat sensor on the unit, could this have gone ?

So, the question is, could it be the pressure (don’t think so), heat sensor or the control board ?

    Any useful suggestions please ?

I’m an elec engineer and have fixed a few items.

Can figure it out if I must, thought I might get some useful advice here first to save a bit of time.

I’ve not checked but once I have access I’ll check the element before I buy it, once I have access.

Being a dishwasher I didnt think there was a drum?
