Yep it was the lid switch, I have bypassed the magnetic switch by clipping the wires and connecting them and then covering them with some heat shrink.

I do realise lid switch is a safety device but I’m cool with it this way 🙂 Will just have to remember not to put my hand in the machine when she’s running!

Not sure, how do I find out?

Also if it is rooted, can’t I just bypass the switch and connect the two wires to complete the circuit ???

Thanks, I have done this and yes the switch is rooted, I have replaced the out of balance switch and she’s running like a dream!
