Re: Hotpoint WD440 – Flashing lights – 1, 2, and 4 ?

My 2 and a half year old WD440 developed the same fault last night.
I took the filter out and cleared a 10p coin, a washer and some sellotape from it last night and it’s still got the problem so I assume it’s an NTC fault as suggested in earlier posts.

As the original poster asked, will this be something I can fix myself or will I need to call an engineer? (I’m a reasonably competent DIYer.)

FWIW, my machine’s been knocking badly since new but it’s always worked fine so I haven’t investigated.
