I’m still going to need to un-latch it somewhere – I’ve got a row of screws down the side of the inner door – at right angles to the door panel – which could presumably fix to a fastener at the other side – however none of them are long enough. There are also two hex screws on each side of the door – but they lie parallel to the front door panel – so I doubt that they are fixing it. Also I don’t have a driver that fits. The top screw on each side of the door allows the top control panel to slide up to allow access to the switches underneath it – but I don’t see any other fixings under there. Still stuck I’m afraid. the plate rack is on the bottom, not the top. The bottom basket is fine. I only need the plate rack on the bottom – can I get one of those. ?

The pic shows all the bits – I only need the basket. Is it just the basket or everything the pic shows ?

But I mainly need the plate rack – what about that ?

If it came to it I could probably live without the basket, there’s just one spot where it’s rusted away – but the plastic coating holds it together.

The plate rack is really annoying though – there are 4 wire “hinge” type things with prongs – one of them fell apart which means only one of the two plate racks can work. If I can replace that I’d guess the dishwasher is good for a couple of years – barely had any problem with it and had it for years. Thanks

Sorry – service number is 854241615710 – there’s a 5 there rather than the 8 I put down orignally. The Serial number is 330404002837. The Model number doesn’t seem to be on Whirlpool’s site – It’s DWF416W – they do have a DWF406W though – which may or may not be similar.
