    Re: Condenser question – Teka LSI3 1300 E

    Update…

Took off the bottom black pipe and managed to clear all the fluff from the condenser. The fluff was about the size of two golf balls and all collected at the bottom near the black pipe, so was relatively easy to pull out. It would have significantly blocked the water from escaping easily, so assume this has caused the thermostat to trip?

Rest of condenser looks pretty clear.

Have put the wash back on to dry and its a LOT hotter than it was when I did the 30min test cycle earlier today (pre clearing the fluff).

Am I right in saying if I do the same clean about once every 3-6 months then that should keep the dryer working well? Fingers crossed anyway.

Will keep anything fluffy well away from it!!!

Want to say thanks again guys. Really appreciate you helping a new user out in this way. Will make sure to recommend this site and come here when I need parts etc.

    Cheers 😀

    Thanks guys.

Put a wash on earlier and it didn’t heat up… 🙁

Had another look around – You’re right… the condenser is further up and goes to the top of the drum. I’ve removed the bottom rubber hose and its full of fluff.

Amazed as we’ve only been using it for bed linen, underwear, t-shirts etc.

Oh well… least I know the problem so i’ll get busy with cleaning out all the fluff out of there and hopefully that’ll fix the problem 🙂

    Cheers

    Thanks for the quick reply!!!

I’ll sort out some more photos later to help identify the condenser. Is this the part that would likely to be clogged up?

Fluffy clothes – yeah, I think I won’t put any in there. We’ve got an apartment so limited on space. Next house will definitely have separate washer and dryer!!!

    Thanks again 🙂
