The guy who looked at gas system in general is CORGI registered & he said it was OK.

That is the problem with dual fuel cookers in general.

I would be happy with the electrical faults fixed.

Re: Thermador range cooker – find an engineer

Something has gone wrong with the door locking mechanism; the light to indicate door locked won’t go out even though I turn the knob to off. Worse, it makes a horrible clicking/rattling noise that seems to come from inside the lock, only stopped by turning off the electricity.

Also, for a while the top and bottom elements have been unbalanced so that the bottom gets red hot and burns food whilst the top doesn’t heat up properly. It works very well on lower heat settings but not turned up high.

There is an occasional slight smell of gas around the cooker. Our general plumber/heating engineer said there is a very small gas leak in the system, not worth worrying about & well within legal limits, that is presumably the cooker and I would also like looked into. (Though my husband says it is fine!)

We got it second hand, it is a very nice solid cooker but I didn’t realise it would be so hard to get someone to repair it.

Hope you can help us, best wishes, Mandy.
