Re: Hotpoint CTD00 Tumble Dryer not working

    John,

What can I say, other than a big thank you. The part arrived on Thursday, and I picked it up this morning. Fitted it in 10 minutes and the tumble dryer works a treat. We are all happy now and are about a £100 better off than if we had called Hotpoint out for the 5 year free parts guarantee.

Once again a big thank you and the same to this website. The price of the part was the best I couyld find anywhere.

    A happy customer !!!!

Re: Hotpoint CTD00 Tumble Dryer not working

Thanks for all the above suggestions.

Sorry I used the term consender instead of capacitor 😳

I have looked at the above advice and even with the door open and the timer set to zero, when you push Start you get the buzzing noise. The pin on the door is in tact – have replaced one of these on a previous machine

The serial number of my machine is 95313490000 609130081

PS the above testing was done with the lid etc on, as I do I take electricity seriously.

I think it may be time to start removing some key components and testing them with my trusty multimeter

Thanks for the sound advice so far.
