Re: Hoover HNF6167 intermittent fault

Thanks for the response. I did have it apart and found a £1 coin a £2 coin and a necklace along with a residue reminiscent of clogged arteries but this was due to a water retention issue which got resolved. All that loose change has now been removed but I didn’t try and flush out the outlet hose presuming the pump mech would catch all?

On another forum I found this – any currency it it?

Take the top off.
Check the selector switch on the front, spray it with some switch cleaner (if you have some), allow it to dry then try the machine again.
 
The usual cause of this problem is the selector switch, however, the ,main control board can also cause the problem.
 
Check the switch, see what you find and let me know.
