I’ve the opposite problem with this exact model…. it won’t empty.
Bloody thing is less than 2 years old as well.
Hotpoint must design these things to just barely make it past their 1 year free parts & labour.

The Eco and Fast lights were flashing for me.
Hotpoint support said it was a blocked filter… but it’s not.
I cleaned the filters just fine, including the water intake filter attached to the cold water mains.
In fact, when I put the drain pipe into an empty basin, and let gravity drain the water, there’s no blockage at all…..
I assume there must be a drain pump that has broken down.

Less than 2 years old, and had the lightest of use, for just one person…..

The bottom rack is too low also… the upper rotary arm can’t swing if I put a few plates in. Not impressed with this machine at all.

Hotpoint want to charge me Eur100 just to send an engineer out… I assume I have to pay for the replacement parts too.

Sorry for the bit of a rant, but maybe there’s some information in there for others.

    regards,
    Owen
