ParticipantI ended up with a Samsung for a similar price – happy with it. Now we have to replace the AEG integrated – we are limited by the dimensions and how the kitchen was fitted (not very well!). AEG will likely fit, Bosch are a bit wider – it’s 54cm wide. I have seen a SMEG which will fit, and also a Blomberg – they are a ‘nicer’ price but have not heard much about them.Any other suggestions or ones to avoid?

ParticipantI’ve looked around and there are a couple of Bekos and Hotpoint’s – about the £270 mark. Are those makes much of a muchness? There does seem to be a jump in quality when go to Bosch, but they are a few inches deeper and taller which won’t fit in the space I have.

ParticipantThanks. I’ll have to sort the integrated one out when things have settled down. I’m trying to work out whether I need a full size one as my back up, it’s hard to judge whether the smaller ones are too small from online pics. The smaller one I have found is Hoover HSC536W – if these aren’t as good overall then I’d rather go for the bigger one. [h=1]Hoover HSC536W[/h]

ParticipantRe: Siemens washing machine replacement
Thanks. It looks like mine was from IQ500 range and the replacement is IQ300. I’ll ring Siemens tomorrow to clarify. Thanks again.

ParticipantRe: Bosch wff2001 update. Mended but not working!
Pump changed, works at 30degrees, but won’t even start a programme on 40 or above. Will give the guy another call, but is this likely to be the brushes or something more pricey?

Had local engineer come out – it is definitely the pump and it looks like the power tripping was due to overheating as I tried to start machine a few times. Waiting for quote for part and fitting now…Question is – is it worth the cost, at 15 years old? I think I will go for it, it is a solid machine and hopefully it’s got a few more years left in it. Thanks for help

As soon as I turn it on at machine; turning it on at mains is ok, but then press start button and rcd electric trips.

I think its wff 2001 – I’ve had a feel around for the wire but no sign.
