Change the heating element for around £20. I would imagine this will solve your problem, plus its cheaper than getting someone out with a megger to most prob tell you its the element or the motor. Hope this helps.

Just read an older post on here about the dryer heater causing problems because of earth leakage. On inspection my machine does seem to have alot of limescale type stuff oozing out of the dryer duct in a few places. I dont use the dryer but would this cause a problem for washing programs and rcd tripping? If so is it possible to remove the plugs from the heater and carry on using just the washing programs? Also any ideas how to test the element? I have use of a megger in work. Thanx ozz

Hi all now this bloody machine will turn on without tripping but runs for a few mins then trips! Confusing me 😕 any ideas or things to try would be much appreciated Thanx in advance ozz
