Re: Extracare cancelled my warranty – help

I have just had a call from MFI customer services. They are still adamant that the fault was caused by an installation issue.

They say that the locking nuts cannot have been tightened enough during installation. As a result the legs were not secure and the inner threads that the legs screw into have become damaged as a result of excess movement.

They say that the ONLY way a locking nut can become loose is if it was never tightened correctly during installation.

Would you agree that this is the case, or have you experience of the locking nuts becoming loose due to excess vibration?

When you say that this is not an unknown problem, what did you mean?

Is it a common issue for the locking nuts to work their way loose if the machine vibrates alot?

The engineer from extracare said that the only way the legs can become unstable was if the machine was incorrectly fitted. ie the locking nuts not put in place. He insinuated that the only way the inner threads, that the legs screw into, can become damaged, is if the locking nuts are not securely in place.

    Please elaborate if you can.

    Thanks
