Re: Miele PP6 putting holes in clothes

I am careful about washing on the correct cycle so I don’t think it’s that. However, looking through the instruction book last night I discovered that I can programme the machine to wash with a ‘gentle action’ overall rather than the standard default action. So I’ve done that and I’m going to buy a couple of large net bags to protect the garments. I’ll see if that makes a difference before I risk calling Miele.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

K – I’ve had holes in cotton tee shirts, cotton/polyester mix jumpers (not particularly thick ones) and a thicker fluffy jumper, a cotton mix cardigan and socks. I washed the same types of garments in my old machine using the same detergents.

As the holes are all the same size and perfectly round, I think the clothes must be getting pulled through the holes in the drum, as Brian suggests. I think I might just have to give Miele a call.

Re: Miele Prestige Plus 6 problem

Thank you all very much for your help – especially putting me straight on Adam’s solution as I’d have believed him otherwise! 😳
The clothes have been coming out clean so it must be ok. Thanks for putting my mind at rest – I don’t understand why Miele couldn’t have explained it to me as simply.
This is a great site and I only wish I’d found it beforehand as I might have gone for the ISE!
    Thanks again.
