ok. Thanks anyway. I wander if those sort of bits are similar from one of the models you mention?

    Allen key worked a treat!

Got the base plate off but now faced with all sorts! There is a large plastic chamber/tank that is the salt container but alongside is another plastic chamber where the water inlet goes that seems to be full of encrusted orange crystal-like stuff! Is this a problem? You mention the tray maybe having water in it that needs to be emptied but the plastic chamber looks like the base is sealed on and not designed to be removed?

Meantime, managed to get the water sensor filter off, (tight or what?), and still appears to be very choked. So will clean that better and re-fit and see what happens!

Update: Works fine now. Thanks for the advice. I know where to come next time. Tip for anyone else with similar problem though. Difficult access to clean filter on water sensor in sump in-situ. I thought I’d cleaned it but until you remove it from below you don’t really see how much hidden gunge there is behind it. Careful use of a straightened paper clip and toothbrush with hot water did the trick. 😀

Thanks for that. But where do I get a Torx 20 tool from if it’s not a silly question?!

Also, Had a look in the salt container at the bottom and this is full of water. Should it be?
