    If it has rusted as you say, even if I do clean it up it’ll never be right again, probably premature seal and bearing failure. Think I’ve come to the end of the line with this machine.

    So, I’m willing to pay middling hundreds on a new one. What do you recommend? I’m thinking Bosch, SIemens, AEG?

    The comments with the photos should of course be the other way around. Looks like i need a huge great bearing puller to pull the inner drum out of the outer drum!

    Ok, thanks. Yes, I saw the bearing kit does have more than one. The rear/outer one looks sound but the one i can’t get too sounds terrible and there’s lits of play.
    Does the inner drum just pull out? I’ve taken the strap band off and there’s nothing retaining the outer and inner at the front, but it doesn’t want to come out.
