oh s**t
Your right i was thinking of the condenser job, for taking the sides off. Apologies my mistake. Yup just take the lid off and it’s right under ya nose. Long nose pliers for spring clips, and you’ll be done.Pazza
ParticipantIf you mean the large white screw thread bit. It comes off on the outside of the machine from the cold water inlet pipe. A bit fiddly but it should come off with a bit of elbow grease. Hope this helps.

Hi Phil
Hardest part of this job is getting at screws on the side of machine as they are actually inside the cover. You’ll need a socket set. I used a cordless screwdriver with a socket fitting. Once lid is off the inlet valve is at the top of machine and easily accessible. You’ll see it straight away. A pair of long nosed pliers did the trick for me as you have to remove several spring clips. Unplug the electrics attached making sure you fit them to your new inlet valve exactly as you take the old ones off (There are 3 lots i think) This bit is a bit fiddly. And thats about it. Not a DIY maniac myself but managed it quite easily. Took me about half an hour.

ParticipantCheers Martin.
What sort of price would i be looking at and how difficult a job is it to DIY? I did the Condenser job without too much trouble.
