Re: Arrow ceramic hob – alleged permanent stains

Thank you very much for your answers

I have not used sugar at all in my cooking. Salt can also stain it according to my friend, but that is not too much food were salt is the major ingredient. 😉

By the way, I’ve got the answer from a supplier of Arrow that Teba is bankrupt.

    Cheers

Re: Arrow ceramic hob – alleged permanent stains

    Hi

Thank you very much for the answer. Unfortunately, the hob is already exchanged and despite several requests, I have not seen copies of receipts. I have asked to get access to the old hob but have not received an answer to that request yet.

When you write “possible in theory” I guess that you mean that it is not too common during normal use. I want to have at least an educated guess about how probable it is that I have permanently (and severely) stained the hob. A friend of mine, who did research on ceramic glass, said that it is impossible in theory but possible in practice. 😆 But he tried hard by melting sugar on it etc. (as I understand it, the chemical reactions are not fully understood).

    Best regards
