    Hi Jonathan,

    Thanks something I always wondereed about too 🙂 , I don’t reckon there is one. Certainly never found one when I had the machine and I don’t recall seeing one when I was breaking it up for disposal.

    I seem to recall that pump connections were reasonably accessible from the back of the machine, so you may be able to disconnect the inlet and outlet pipes and check for blockages.

    I’ve had another look at the machine and I reckon that the extent of corrosion at the centre of the drum support may make it difficult to recover the shaft.

    So with a parts bill of around £70, the extent of work required, and considering the age of the machine, I think a new machine is probably the best way to go.

    Thanks for your assistance, this is a wonderful resource. I’ll be back whenever I have less catastrophic problems with other appliances 😀
