Update: Now all clear – I thought it would take longer. Pipe was indeed blocked with ice. What’s the best plan now – Reassemble and see if it’s ok now, or are there any other tests I can do?

Thanks Tony. It’s defrosting nicely now, but I think will be solid for a little while. The blocked drain is a distinct possibility since I have had some ice forming in the bottom of the freezer for a little while now. Fingers crossed for an easy fix?

Thanks Tony, I’ve just removed the evaporator cover inside the freezer and it’s very badly iced up – solid at the bottom. There’s no ice on the outside of the cover.
