I decided to kick the can down the road by doing a full defrost. Switched it off for 48 hours and it seems to be ok accept the lights have wierdly stopped working! I hear that sometimes the insulation becomes waterlogged and will quickly refreeze so fingers crossed. In terms of the lights, it looks like a loose connection but when I took the panel off the bulbs and various connectors all seemed fine.

Thanks Chris, how does it happen then? I doubt it’s the cycle as it mainly happens to cottons, so I guess it’s overloading. Are the clothes being pushed into the holes in the drum? Do you recommend washer bags?
