Ok – so the aquastop pipe feeds into a clear plastic unit which then feeds the water softener There is no valve before the water softener. can you see this ? https://imgur.com/a/QJU4qDC

thanks again – I have reason to presume that the inlet valve is integral to the water softener – I have not seen anything else that looks like one and the part does not exist if I search for it online as a valve – am I right ? I can’t post pictures because of some limitation but I have PM’d a shared jpeg link

Thanks Dave – please can you point me at some instructions for that? Should I just buy a new valve and fit? seems like a cheap fix?

Update – I have managed to reset it, but whichever programme I choose I get the single beep. So what shroud I do next ?
