ParticipantHOT FEED
What are thoughts on HW feed – my Heat Pump fills Tank at 40C. My usual programme is ECO at 35C. So rather that having to heat up Cold water from ambient I could more efficiently use the HW. Electrofix mentioned that “manufactures do say the dishwasher can be fed hot” . Does it make sense then to use the 40C.
HOLES ON SIDES
I am told that the 2 holes on sides are to support machine physically to each side if required – which I do not need. So no need for photos
thanks for all info to datePhoneman007
ParticipantPardon small photo . The screw hole is in dead centre – about 1.5th from bottom. Is it possible to upload a photo : When I try to upload then message says only 12.5 kB of 19.5kB is available – and the original photo before reduction is 3Mb. I would love to get those screws which I am sure are bog standard.
Thanks for opinion on Hot Feed = the HP will fill tank at 40C. Will that be too hot in DW. ? less that ECO prog at 35C – but I accept that the cold rinse will be elevated. I get your point about heat in Washing machine. Thanks

ParticipantBosch Bloke call out – he replace the Reed Relay and that indeed appeared to fix problem. I have 2 additional queries.
Q1 When I was reassembling sides etc. I noticed on the inside LHS and RHS Side panels – near top and just outside the Door Seal there appears to be a screw hole missing a screw. The other self tappers – as on door panel – are too small. Should screws be fitted here or not. Any idea what size / type they are. And where to get them. Pic Attached.
Q2 Completely different question – I have Heat Pump supplying hot water. Would it make sense to feed Hot rather than COLD into DW ? I realise that cold rinse would use hot but now I would not have to use Mains electricity to heat normal washes. (same Q for washing machine too). RegardsPhoneman007
ParticipantMachine does fill (water pressure perfect). Then when time drops to 28min it empties completely. So all hoses and filters seem to be good too.

ParticipantNeeding to describe symptoms briefly I should have said following ::: The water is NOT heating – but machine never gets that far. For example Quick Wash “prewash rinse fin 29min, Glass Protn, prewash rinse fin 28min, PLEASE CHECK WATER SUPPLY, End ” All done in 5min. All Prog are like this. Man who came in did get one time hot water prog to work but only 1 time. So I suspect that Heater MAY be working. All hoses, filters, overflow float ok and Reed Sensor responds to Magnet. ANY FURTHER IDEAS ??

ParticipantDave – that is a good idea. I have not checked Heater …yet.
A peculiar thing happened when problem first arose. I got a guy in and he fiddled with machine for a short time and then got it going and steam raised. He collected his fee and was out the door in minutes. Catch was that it did only work one time. I got him back and I fell for it again. I have no idea what he did. But he legged it quickly both times. That is only idea I have that heater COULD work. Thanks for suggestion and I will do that.
I have a YouTube here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnoXDPlXC6g doing heater replacement on a Bosch – is that similar to location and type in SMS69L22 ? It is not a small extraction ! Is there anyway to check if Heater OK before disembowelling the beast.
Before I move onto heater – could I check out the answer about Reed Relay. Someone said to me that it was likely that it was this which should be replaced. I contacted BUYSPARES.CO.UK for Water Flow Reed Relay for the SMS69L22, they identified what they said was the correct part and posted it to me. The Original Reed is Normally Closed when disconnect and the Replacement is Normaly Open. Both respond appropriately to presence of magnet. Would it be ok to try out the “New” one anyway. What do you think.
Do you know if the Reed should be NC or NO when disconnected.Another common problem I read about is that a Relay on the PCB board burns out. Heater current is too demanding for relay rating.
Would it make sense to check these two items out before major surgery
Thanks very much for help
