but
there is always an overrun and the temp will keep falling for a bit. then as the temp rises it will turn back on to keep the temp in the range. if they turned the compressor back on just above 4 degrees the compressor would be starting and stopping every 5 minutes or so. Would be very bad for the compressor not to mention energy saving. So there is a range where the temp will go between and it depends on the manufacturers design criteria possibly 2 degrees or so. also when it turns on it takes time for the compressor to start cooling the fridge compartment.
Add to this insulation which stops the heat of the room getting into the fridge. modern fridges have more insulation leading to smaller storage space. This is also affected by room temperature which gives a temperature gradient across the insulation. result the warmer the room the more the unit will run and temps will fluctulateDave
Thanks Dave and understand now you have explained thankyou I can only set as below & have got it on the Low (colder setting)

the important thing is the mean temp of the stored products
try putting the sensor in water to get an idea what you milk will be doing. the liquid will not go up and down as fast and will reach an average temp
Dave
Hi Dave thanks for the reply the temperature goes up & down regardless of if the door is open or not below is a screen shot of the last hour & you can see it goes doen to 4.4 then climbs to 6 then will go down again which is what it does all the time ….
