if I run a COLD cycle, does the heater come into play at all?

    here’s an update.
since the connector plug required for this unit (NEMA 6-15) is unusual and so hard to find here in NOrth America, it took some time to find one so I could put tgether an extension cord for bench testing this unit.
So it went into storage for 5 months.
today I took it out to test.
wanting to test whether the water temperature sensor might be the problem (and water was not getting up to a hot enough temperature) I ran the first test cycle on COLD.
and, the cycle ran smoothly, to the finish.
Thinking AhHah! it must be water temperature, I then ran a WARM cycle. and the cycle failed. the unit filled with water but then the timer did not count down.
thinking AhAH! that confirms it, I ran a 3rd cycle on COLD again (assuming it would run). But that cycle failed.
    as did another COLD cycle.

so to recap, the first test cycle – on COLD – after being in storage ran successfully.
but all subsequent cycles – whether on COLD or WARM – failed.

    does that make any sense?
