ParticipantRe: AEG LAVAMAT – CHANGED BRUSHES BUT STILL C9 CODE
Hi
I fixed my AEG 74720 changing the carbon brushes.
The reseted the washer by pressing the two upmost buttons (“prewash” + soaking i recall) AND turning the dial counter clock wise to “energy saving mode” (or was it to 95 celsius degrees??).Try turning counter clock wise one click at a time and it should work.
All light will turn on when this is succesful. After that just turn to OFF.Hint:
before buying new brushes, you should check your “copper lamels” (the ones that are touched by the brishes) to see that they have not been burned nor hurt in any way (they should be set evenly, without any noticable cracks, etc.
If so, you might have to buy a new “engine/motor”, and that might turn out to be failry expensive.
