Thanks Jim, Jan 1986′ it is then, I shall tell her it’s age when I see her later.
My Mum would rather spend that kind of money at Gala Bingo at her time of life . . . 😆
Yep I sure know where to come if problems arise
    Thank You All

Hi Jim, Serial No for the Old Hotpoint ia 01.589092 …
….£800 – £1200 😯 ha ha ..My Mums 80, the last thing on her mind is a Washin Machine outlasting her and if I gotta spend most of my time on here sendin posts just think it’s good for your site 😆
I should think in a few years we’ll be doing her washing for her 🙂 … 😆
Another Hotpoint she wanted and got £249, she’s chuffed with it just dials No LCDs and she can’t get over how quiet it is, this one doesn’t sound like a low flying Lancaster when it’s spinning … 😆 😆 😆
Cheers for the info peeps 🙂

    Re: What Year Anyone ?

I can only find these 3 ISE machines but they are well out of my Mums budget …she only uses the Washer once a week if that 🙁

    Re: What Year Anyone ?

Thanks for that ..not as old as she thought …maybe I’m not either 😆 I’ll get the serial number off the door tomorrow when I go over, then we are off to find a nice easy to use (like the old one)… Dials Only no LCD Screen with whistles and bells coz this will confuse her no end for hopefully under £200 …. 😯

    Re: Hotpoint WF 860 leak

Thanks Jim all sorted now I decided to get the proffessional on the Job and asked Simon of S.D.Electrical Services to take a look, he was recomemded by this site a while ago and my family and I have used his service on several occassions and he’s always done a top notch job and at a good price too (how many times can one say that in this day and age)
Yep you were right indeed there was an assortment of coins inside the sump and the main culprit was a Yale Key which Simon says caused most of the damage, it had bent the element in places.
Thanks for the reply Jim, much appreciated.
    Man I love this site… 😀

Re: Creda T632CW Themostat Kit Rplacement

    Hi again
The green light on the front (Sensor/Heat) does light up when I start the programme. Thinking back, during removal of the back panel last week, I found it easier to remove the small white cover and the bar that runs across the back to… the small white cover had black powder inside it..just like charcoal …. does that sound bad…don’t suppose it can be good 🙁
    Cheers

Re: Creda T632CW Themostat Kit Rplacement

    Hi Chaps
Yep condenser is clear…as soon as I fitted the parts I gave the whole dryer a good cleaning filter condenser..even hoovered all the vent slots at the back of it.. but today put a minimal load in (on sensor dry as always) and noticed 2 hours later its still tumbling, when I opened it, it was still cold.. 😥
